1. Overview
Modus ("the App") is a free app made by an independent developer that helps you organize your clothes in a digital wardrobe and plan outfits. This policy explains what information is processed and where when you use the App.
In short: Modus has no servers of its own. The developer cannot see or collect your clothes, photos or personal information. The App contains no advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and your data is never sold or shared.
2. Where Is Your Data Stored?
- Wardrobe data (clothing photos, names, brands, categories, outfits, calendar entries, your profile name and photo): stored on your device and in the private database of your own iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). Only you can access this database; the developer cannot. iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Sign in with Apple: When you sign in, Apple provides an anonymous app-specific user identifier and, if you allow it on first sign-in, your name and email address. These are kept only on your device and in your iCloud Keychain and are used to match your wardrobe to your account. Your email address is not used to contact you.
- Photo processing: Background removal and garment recognition run entirely on your device with Apple Vision; your photos are not uploaded to any server (other than your own iCloud backup).
3. Information Sent to Third Parties
- Weather (Open-Meteo): If you allow location access, your approximate location (latitude/longitude rounded to about 1 km) is sent to Open-Meteo to get the forecast for where you are. It is not linked to your identity and no location history is kept. You can turn off location access at any time in iPhone Settings; the App works without it.
- Store links: When you paste or share a product link, a single request is sent to that page, just as a browser would, to get the product name and image. This request is subject to that store's own privacy policy. Modus does not crawl store websites.
4. Store Images and Content
Product images and names added from a store link belong to the respective store or brand. They are stored only in your personal wardrobe for your personal use. Users are responsible for the content they share from the App (for example, outfit cards). Modus is not affiliated with or endorsed by any brand or store.
5. Deleting Your Account and All Content
At any time, you can use Profile › "Delete Account & All Content" in the App to permanently delete:
- all clothing, outfit and calendar records and photos on your device,
- all Modus data in your private iCloud database,
- the Sign in with Apple link on your device.
To fully stop using Sign in with Apple for Modus, also go to iPhone Settings › Your Name › Sign-In & Security › Sign in with Apple › Modus › "Stop Using Sign in with Apple".
6. Your Rights (GDPR / KVKK)
Because your data stays on your own device and in your own iCloud account, you can view, correct and delete it from within the App. For questions under the GDPR or Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), contact us at the address below.
7. Children
Modus is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
If this policy is updated, the new version will be published on this page and the date at the top will change.
